A near death experience at birth set the stage for a life that was destined to be extraordinary. As Jodie’s mom anxiously anticipated the birth of her newborn, the umbilical cord became wrapped around her neck, cutting off her oxygen supply. Jodie vividly recalls the experience of witnessing her own birth as her spirit departed and her lifeless body exited her mother’s womb. During this outer body experience, her soul encountered the 20th century prophet, Edgar Cayce, who was to become her lifelong teacher and mentor. Then, as suddenly as she had left her body, her spirit was thrust back into the physical world and she was ready to begin her journey. Her training began in Catholic school, which she attended from first grade through high school. The nuns recognized her abilities and proclaimed that they were God given. She saw angels and could communicate with those who passed on to the other side. As early as three years old, she gave uncannily accurate readings and relayed important information from the spirit realm. Using her sixth sense was as natural as breathing and over the years her talents continued to grow. In college she studied Native American Tribal Law and Natural Resources. Her native Cherokee background allowed her to connect deeply with totem animal spirits and provided her with the valuable shamanic training she needed. She later worked as a wilderness park ranger and walked through native villages. One day she came upon a wild White Wolf who taught her to trust her clairaudio gifts. The natives called her “White Wolf Medicine Woman,” and they revered her for her talent to communicate with the departed. People sought her out as a Medium and also as a medical intuitive as well. At the Okeefenoke Wildlife refuge she had a mystical experience in which she traveled back in time to the year 1864. In 1999 through 1996, a very special visitor from the spirit world, who claimed to be her cousin, passed along some very interesting information that Jodie felt compelled to pursue. She called her Maribelle McGhee, a name that at the time had no personal meaning. However, on the advice of the famous author, Tom Clancy, she researched Maribelle in the Civil War geology library and came across an old photograph of this woman. To her astonishment, Maribelle McGhee was the spitting image of her. It was like looking in a mirror! Could this woman have been Jodie in a past life? Seemed likely. In 1998, Jodie wrote a book called Ghosts’ Reflections--My Contact with The Other side. The New York Times as well as many other notable newspapers became interested in her and wrote about her experiences as a spiritual Medium. Though her work attracts much attention in the press and media, in the end what matters most to Jodie is helping people. To that end, she’s worked as a psychic detective with the homicide department and has played an integral role in solving five national murder cases. There’s no question that Jodie is a psychic with rare abilities who has dedicated her life to the service of others.

Jodie trained early in life for the role she was destined to play. At the age of three she was already dispensing counsel to those around her. Later, as a park ranger, she incorporated her gifts into her work and earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues. She worked as a professional consultant on hauntings, helped to find missing people and worked with detectives to solve murder cases. In a series of lectures and in media interviews, she explained psychic phenomenon and shed light on metaphysical subjects that had audiences spellbound. Her ghost photographs kicked off psychic investigations and garnered her much national media attention. She appeared as a guest on “America’s Most Haunted” television show and the public’s interest in her spiked. She started the Pacific Northwest Paranormal Society in 1999, an organization that helped commercialize the public’s growing interest in ghosts and haunted homes. Jodie was well received in the media and appeared often on radio and television. Myrtles’ Plantation, acknowledged by the Smithsonian as the most haunted place, was featured on YouTUBE in Jodie’s video on ghosts. In 2006, she received a prestigious invitation from Martha Stewart to be a guest on her Sirius Radio Halloween program. As a result, people still phone her to investigate hauntings and UFO occurrences. Currently, she continues to document UFO and haunting activities. Her second book, which will contain more unusual ghostly photographs and details on hauntings is due to be released Halloween 2008.

A freedom-loving Aquarian, Jodie found fulfillment as a park ranger, a job that afforded her all sorts of wonderful life experiences in many parts of the United States. The most interesting place she’s ever traveled to was Ester Island. And the most interesting spirit she ever encountered was Mary Magdalene. In Italy, Magdalene directed Jodie to a spot where she was able to photograph her face. Presently, Jodie lives in the Pacific Northwest with her Welsh Corgis, Jack and Zowie. She’s been an active advocate for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Her work as a spiritual Medium gives her empathy and sensitivity for people and animals. She attracts many friends and often networks with celebrities in the metaphysical community. A reading with Jodie is like being with an old friend, her clients often say. She spreads her positive influence to everyone she meets and also dedicates her time to her community, always helping those in need.
